Our photo pros are highly skilled at supporting folks at every level — and the small group size means there’s plenty of space for personal attention when you want it, and freedom when you don’t.

Yes — as much or as little as you'd like. Every photo journey features an expert photo pro with extensive experience teaching during an immersive travel experience. Our instructors are there to offer practical, real-time tips in the field, plus optional image reviews and 1-on-1 support to help you grow your skills.

Our itineraries strike a thoughtful balance. We plan for rich days with enough time to absorb a place fully — but also leave room to rest, opt out, welcome the unexpected, or simply enjoy independent time and exploration. We understand that photographers often move at a slower pace, captivated by all there is to see and capture artfully. Our pacing reflects that.

Absolutely. Once registered, you’ll get access to a private trip portal with clear flight guidance, packing tips, and helpful destination info — all designed to make your prep seamless. We’ll also connect you with a long-trusted flight concierge, should that be of interest, and can recommend travel insurance, even issuing a quote via one of our partners if that were welcome. Our groups are small, easygoing, and often become tight-knit by the end. Many travelers are independent types drawn together by a shared passion for meaningful travel and photography — no megaphone-waving tour guides here.

It depends on the destination, but in general: if you’re comfortable walking a few hours at a relaxed pace, you’ll be fine. We’ll happily talk through your needs and tailor recommendations accordingly.

We understand things change. Each trip has clear cancellation terms outlined in its PDF brochure or tour page, and we strongly recommend travel insurance for added peace of mind.

In general, for most of our land-based journeys, only a small administrative fee applies until usually 90 days before departure. From there, cancellation penalties increase gradually. Ship-based expeditions carry higher non-refundable deposits from the start due to stricter partner policies.

For insurance, we can even help set you up with a Cancel-for-Any-Reason policy if issued within three weeks of your deposit.

Many of our trips already include optional pre- or post-trip extensions you can easily add on. But even when they aren’t formally offered, or if you’re looking for something more personalized, it’s our pleasure to help. In most cases, we can easily craft something through our deeply trusted local partners (one of the benefits of working with a team that’s as experienced in trip design as we are in photography). And at the very least, we’re happy to offer thoughtful advice based on the extensive time we’ve spent exploring these destinations ourselves. Just let us know what you have in mind.

Our trips are designed to be as seamless and comprehensive as possible. The price typically includes lodging, most meals, on-trip transportation, expert guiding, photography instruction, professional tour management, entrance fees, a private trip portal with all your prep materials, plus a live pre-trip Zoom briefing and Q&A. On most journeys (and certainly on anything land-based) we also cover tips for local guides, drivers, porters, and included meals —handled discreetly on your behalf so you can relax and stay in the moment. Flights, travel insurance, and a few meals are usually not included. Exact details vary by trip, so be sure to check the specific brochure or tour page for a full breakdown. In general, aside from personal items, gifts, or meals away from the group, most everything else is taken care of.
